There's a small rubber plug that goes into a hole on the back side of a wheel that keep road grime out of the indies of the drum. What do you call that plug and where can I get them?

I think it's called a brake drum dust plug. Let me look it up to be sure.

OK........Tell me......I just got a Ford Master Parts catalogue and it's a great thing, but there is nothing that tells me what these parts in the illustrations are called. I have parts numbers but no names. Anywhere I can cross reference to get that or do I need to but another book?

I would call that plug a brake adjuster access plug. We have all the vendors listed in the FAQ. Call the nearest one to you and describe what part you need. I have searched briefly, but can't come up with a technical term for that plug.

If you buy a brake rebuild kit, you know the springs and such... the plug comes with them. Also if u buy the self adjuster kit... you will get the plug too. Not sure if you can buy it alone... never had to but what could it cost like 50 cents?

NPD has original ones if you're going for that full blown resto. and they also have reg ones. good luck
