ok this isnt going to happen for a long time but I was wondering what kind of mods I can do to make my pony a little faster. Ive got a 71 grande with a 2b carb and a 302 in it. Its pretty much stock. I'm not going to go nuts and go duel turbos with nos but i want a little more power. I was also considering putting a 351 in her sometime down the road if i cant get what i want out of the 301. it seems most mustangs ive looked at on the net have the 351 and almost none have the 302 and 429. so that would be another consideration what can i do to give my pony a little more power and still be able to use on a larger motor or do you guys think that i can get something pretty quick with a 302 and some minor mods im not expecting to do 12 on the 1/4 mile or anything
i know this is a little vague but im still new

There are a lot of different things you can do. New crank? New intake? May want to look at a place like mustangmonthly.com, they'll have a lot of ideas.

thanks i just ordered there mag yesterday. I know a new carb manifold will give me a bit of a boost but i dont really know how much or where to go after that

afr 165 heads, a nice cam,4bbl intake, 4bbl carb, and some header you be right around 400hp as long as the short block is in good shape
