Default '68 fastback gas line Grommet

Hey...my gas line grommet just called it a day...and its pretty annoying feeling hot engine gases while driving....lol..i have a grommet but i have no idea where to begin...i tried finding an article in a workshop manual that i have but to no avail..could anyone please tell me how to do this?

I'm not really sure what you are asking. What grommet are you refering to that would allow you to feel hot engine gases?

its for the accelerator rod....where it goes thru the firewall....
