Default Question about value... 1970 BOSS 302

I have a original, unrestored 1970 Boss 302 autolight distrubutor. I head that they can be somewhat valuable, but I was just wondering how much? It is in really good shape. I saw a restored one ( http://cgi.ebay.com/MUSTANG-PARTS-BO...QQcmdZViewItem) but it seems really pricey...are they really worth that much? Thanks for any input.

People are stupid,
Lets look back, a pet rock? that’s far enough.
a Ford duel point can probably be gotten (is that a word?) from Ford. If not I would bet I could go threw my garage and find one for a mere , OH, $1200.
But then, a 70 Boss 302 cost about $4,000 new, and now there going for 60-80 thousand. Refer to my first line.

Okay, I realize that the one on ebay may be a bit pricey(like I said) but I was just wondering a round about idea of value for the one I have. I would imagine a numbers matching restoration of a Boss, it could be worth it's weight in gold to some people. It is my buddies and he wants to sell it, so help me out a little please...thanks

What's the difference between a 302 distributor and a Boss 302 distributor?

For the year, it was better because it had dual points, rather than just one.

Recently was listening to the Barrett/Jackson preview on Speed and they talked about Boss302 distributor values...I believe they said somewhere in the neighborhood of $1500.
