RE: 427 badges
I dunno how many of you guys have seen old racing cars. 60s/70s. But quite often they would have a number painted on the hood. It of course would be either displacement or horsepower. I.E. 347 c.i. or 427 h.p. My dad is turning a 1961 starliner (same as a galzxie before being named galaxies) into a dirt track car and hasn't decided on which to go with yet. But it will be cool we're doing a completely classic paint job. It will look great in a field filled with mid 80's monte carlos. Anyway back on track, yeah if you wanna advertise 427 do it but put h.p. by it. Then when the ricers pull up and start mouthing you you can ask them why they're cars only have 2.3 stamped on the side.

It's your car, paint it pink and put Chevy on it if you want to.
427 is just a number, and if you got that from a engine dyno or a chasey dyno, tomorrow it will be a few different.
Jack Roush owns a company that sells his products. When you have a company that sells products you can put 428R on the side of your mustangs.
People put all sorts of stuff on there Mustangs and camaros, Heck Chevy used to put the wrong badges on the cars. The 402 Chevelle had a name badge that said SS 396.

I'm shaving everything and only putting running horses (I6) style on the pony, and maybe a horse on the grill. I'm doing a 331 set-up and was thinking maybe a 331high performance tag somewheres but don't know about that yet.
