I wouldnt worry about installing a shaker system, especially if you do not plan on selling it in the near future. You can always change the car back to its original setupso I do not think that it is a big deal. I know thatCJ Pony Partssells and economical shaker system forunder $500. There are other places likeCalifornia Mustang that also have shaker kits but they are more expensive. Nice car by the way.

I looked all through CJ parts includeing several search's and 39 pages of there ebay store, no shaker scoop?
California Mustang has the scoop , trim ring, and seal (this mounts on your air cleaner)for less than $450.00 I don't know what there shipping is.

If you are not afraid of dropping a consderable amount of coin, Mustang Masters out of Jacksonville has a factory setup. Complete soup to nuts. He ran an auction last week that ended at about 2500.00 with the reserve not met. Pricey to be sure, but nothing beats a factory setup. If it were me, I would save my duckies and get the real thing. You have a real Mach I so a factory shaker setup is better than money in the bank.
Just my .02 worth.

Man factory Ram Air and scoop stuff is stupid expensive. The filter housing for one of my Firebirds is over $1500 now, just because it meets up with the Ram Air hood. Makes me happy that I dont need one.
You could always do a glass hood and a cheap shaker too. $439 beats what it costs for a GTO or Bird setup, you should get it..
