Horsepower?

RE: Horsepower?
You may want to consider a change to a 240 or 300 ci inline. There are lots of good speed parts for these engines and they can make well over 300 hp with the right parts and some good head work. The 240 and 300 have been the choice of circle track racers running in 6cyl classes for years.

RE: Horsepower?
Soo, Here I was in my garage talking with a friend this morning who happend to have a built 1976 300cu I6, he has the name and number of the guy who built it, over $2000 in the engine he claimed. So im considering buying it, though I do not know if it will fit? Are the motor mounts the same??
Has anyone put a 300 I6 in a 65-66stang?
If anyone knows where I can find some onfo on this or has had experience with it please met me know.
Thanks.

the onlyu problem with the ford six when building it for power is the fuel starvation of the cylinders on the end which helps to kill power, but a six cylinder engine is pretty torquey to begin with because an inline design makes torque easier

wow that 300 looks like it fits really good in there, if i remember a 302 piston has the same dimensions, which means lots of options there..... with some porting and those 4bbl intakes i see potential for lots of hp and GOBS of torque
