Wrong Radiator

Wrong Radiator
I'm not a happy camper right now. Got my car out of the shop today after having the heads replaced (runs great, btw) and the shop guy informs me that I have a V6 radiator in the car. PO evidently cheaped his way into getting it running well enough to sell it off. That urks me. I'm getting the distinct impression that he knew the problems this car had. Guess it's my lesson learned, though. I'll know more what to look for next time I'm buying an old used car.

RE: Wrong Radiator
I just got a radiator from North Coast Mustang in Ohio on Monday. WhenI saw it on their website,it was described as a 3 core radiator, 68 Mustang, 289, with or without AC with no dimensions given. I called them before ordering it to confirm that it was for a 68 Mustang with AC. Theyconfirmed that it was. I went to install it Tuesday night and found that it wasn't as wide as the radiator in the car and a little bit thicker. So, because of the size difference, it doesn't match up with the OEM radiator hoses, won't fit in the existing radiator supports, and won't accept the fan shroud. The packing slip from the manufacturer describes it as a "rad,67-9smblk,3 core,w/o AC" while their billing slip identified it the same ason the website. I called them back Wednesdayand told them my problems with the radiator, and how in my opinion they had misrepresented it both on their website and over the phone. The girl said she would have someone get back to me. Haven't heard from them yet. I guess I will need to start calling them daily next week. If they had just identified it as the manufacturer did or had included the dimensions of the radiator in the description-so I could have verified it was the proper size-none of this would have happened.

RE: Wrong Radiator
I need to clear this up with North Coast Mustang first. The Mustang's a third car anyway, so I've got time. I just wanted to let people knwo about my problem with North Coast Mustang. I'll also post-in my own thread-the resolution to the problem, good or bad.
