Looks like "disc brakes" FTW! Got my work cut out for me now... Thanks to all for your suggestions and voting.
Thanks! I'm in Hermosa Beach, though I commute with the 67to and from Century City (next to Beverly Hills) every day, taking the coast most of the way.

rorin67--i put SS brakes on my 65 and it only took about an hour for the installation...piece of cake!!
and im going through my background investigation for orange county sheriff right now so i wont be far from hermosa

I don't blame you for avoiding the 405.[:@] Besides, the view is a bit more scenic downthe coast through Manhattan Beach ... especially in the summer.
