Default RE: Turbo

the reason they don't get turbo lag is that the car's engine is a NA designed engine. Most turbo engineered cars have lower compression down low so that they can take the added forced induction/power later - so turbo lag on the very bottom rpm side (turbo guys will say the turbo starts to spool at 3500 rpm, etc.). That's why the Supras, 300ZX's etc. went to dual turbo setups where 1 turbo comes with a very small compressor wheel for the lower rpm and a larger compressor wheel on the other turbo that adds monster boost later (larger wheel takes more force to get it spinning).

I loved that vette on horsepower and have been trying to talk my buddy into doing this on his 06 vette.

I wouldn't say nobody does. I have a few I make. Bolt right in. 65's don't have to cut a thing.
Did this one. https://mustangforums.com/m_4589371/mpage_2/key_/tm.htm
The next one, the guy wants cold air, so we'll cut a hole. Gonna have the build on here in a few days. We're changing somethings around to hold the extra HP for him.
