I just bought a 69 mustang. I have been trying to decode the buck tags cause I am a little confused. The dash has the mach 1 logo and it has all the mach 1 upgrades such as the 351 C, non functional hood scoop, pop open gas cap, racing mirrors, hood pins and dual exhaust. But it is a coupe not the fastback. As far as my research tells me the mach 1's were fastbacks. Is there anyone who can decode the buck tag for me? Here is what I know so far. It was made in Metuchen, NJ 2 dr hard top, 250 engine, standard interior, date nov 12 1968, trans c4 automatic, axle 3.00:1 conventional. This is from the door tag info.
The buck tag says
275 11 20l 65a 2a 9t01l134890 4 med emer rm

I hope all the buck tag info is there it is kinda rusty and part of it may be missing. Can anybody help out?

65amust be acoupe, 63c is a mach 1 fastback/sportsroof that came with it's own deluxe interior.
There was not a 351c in 1969 so somebody must have souped it up.

It looks like you know all the important info. If you want to know more about the car I suggest getting a Marti Report. It will tell you the original options that came on the car.

It sounds like you have a coupe with Mach 1 parts. All Mach 1's were fastbacks and as was mentioned before, the 351 Cleveland was not available till 1970.

yes! another 69 coupe with a 351C in it!

hopefully whoever put it in there did all the necesarry upgrades

Funny you should say that cause the tranny gaskets need to be replaced I think. Its spraying tranny fluid its eithier that or tranny line. If you know of anyone in phoenix az let me know. My neigbor is helping me out a bit. I know a bit but not an expert and I am willing to learn. My main problem is tools and workspace.

I'm on my phone so I can't post pics now I will post some tomorrow. I bought it from a 17 yr old kid who wanted a race car ripped everything out. Its mostly all cosmetic stuff some body work. The pasenger floor board is rusted thru... easy fix. Other than that no rust. Crappy bondo job on the driver side. I bought it for 3500. I got a pretty good deal. I will post pics on here tomorrow when I can get to a comp.
