Buying a 69 coupe, how much is it worth?

RE: North cali stangs
One of the oldest tricks in the books is to put a fresh paint job on a car to sell it quick. Another trick with trucks, and especially pickups, is to detail the engine bay before selling it. Guys who buy trucks always look under the hood the first thing.

take a maget use to on the rear fenders and anywhere on the body you want to check magnet wont stick to body filler some people will fill in rust holes with body filler which isnt a good idea check the cowl for leaks and the frame rails

RE: North cali stangs
After I told him the reason I couldn't go with the transaction, the guy who was selling the car said his dad painted it....and was a "Professional Painter." This guy was basically lying out of his ***. If he was a professional, why is the paint falling off, lol. I can see that being true if his dad works at Maaco, Earl Scheib, or Miracle...but seriously after seeing those high res pics, that paint job gives Maaco a bad name..and that's pretty tough to do. Ok, I know some of those cheap paint shops do an alright job..so I'm not saying all those shops are bad..some depending on management are descent....the majority of those shops are horrible.
