not sure that the 6 cyl tranny was rated for the same amount of torque as the V-8 tranny was, talk to somebody at a local tranny shop and they can tell you what's what with the C-4 trannys. good luck with the swap, it's lots of work but will be worth it when you're done. I would replace all the old brake lines with new ones while I was at it too, can't be too safe you know!

Is your V8 parts car also a 65? If so, why not strip the 6 cyl and put its body on the V8 frame. Hell that would be easier than coverting your six to an 8. If comptemplated changing my six to an 8 but it so much friggin work I would never have time to do it.

You are aware that the mustang is a unibody vehicle that does not possess a 'frame' that can be removed right?

the only reason iam doing this swap is because my parts car is a piece of junk and it has cancer, and i was going to junk it so i decided to convert my 6 cil. car to a 8

dodgestang i know my car is a unibody i never said anything about taking the frame off

thanks guys!
