Best way to clean an aluminum intake manifoild
when I change my carb, I want to clean my intake manifold. It is an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake and it is getting a little grimy after 12 years. I tried some mother's aluminum polish on it and it cleaned up pretty good. Any advice on how to get into all the nooks and crannies? I would rather not take it off the engine.

I think I have bought most of mine in larger kits but I believe you can find them just about anywhere. I just thought that the pointed ones sound like what you are looking for to get into tight spaces.

Actually, I have had some really good results with Aluminum Wheel cleaner.
I also had one anodized once.
There was a metal plating facility I did alot of work with when I lived in florida.
They had a process call Bright Dip Anodize.
I swear it was as close to chrome as you could get.

Soak it in brake parts cleaner then spray it off with a pressure washer?

I wouldn't recommend blasting that stuff all over my hoses, wiring, and paint.
