Default How rare is a '67 bench seat

I have found a bench seat and fenders for my restoration...factory original
The seller wants almost 900 bucks for the seats, front and rear, and 2 fenders (rust free)
Should I keep on lookin?

my 66 is sittin in my garage. I couldn't stand it. everytime I make a turn, I fly into the passenger seat. That is, unless the lady is in the middle seat

My local wrecking yard (Mustang Village-Fontana,CA) sells the bench seat core for 250. (900 sounds like a lot) and beware ofold sheet metal, it can drive you crazy trying to fit it.

I think I'd keep looking. He sounds proud of what he is trying to sell you.

Thanks for the info on the seat....
I am confused with the sheet metal comment...I thought the old sheetmetal was preferred over repops.
I havent heard one good comment yet on new sheetmetal, I thought the old stuff would fit like a glove.

IIRC about 10% of mustangs came with bench seats. I've had them in two cars and they are fine for a daily driver, but that was just a freek of nature, I wouldn't pay extra for a bench seats. My plan is to get some nice modern buckets for daily driving and keep the bench for show time.

I agree with the comment that original RUST FREE fenders would fit better than repops.

Agree with the repop fenders comment,my point was justsince they've been installed on one car and are factory they possibly may not fit so great on another car due to build differences, maybe not. I've only used repop and they're a big PITA.

NO offence to the poster but please disregard that comment.Old sheetmetal is way more desirable than repop stuff. so dont listen to him.If u can get nice clean fenders for not too much money go for it.
