Default Justa few more questions, so you better reply!

1. do flowmaster 44s sound any better of delta 40s or 40s. over the two types of 40s what sounds the boadest.

2. do turn downs right after the muffler before the rear wheel make a louder sound that out the back?

3.whatsize of muffler should i get as in the out/in. I have 21/4 exhaust.

4. does the placement of the in/out on the muffler make a diffrence? ex: straight thru vs in on the left and out of the rightside of the muffler?

Thanks!

1. it's up to you whether or not something sounds "better"

2. no, however this is a debate and someone should do a decibel test to prove it.

3. 2 and 1/4 inch inlets and outlets.

4. yes, this makes a difference.

It sounds like you want LOUD. Go with 40 Series Flows and I'm SURE you'll be happy.

not the 40 delta, just the 40 series? yeah i have a 351c in a coupe. i need it to sound a little more sleeper. im ordering some hooker headers this week. so do the straight through muffler? any specific chambers #s? yeah ive heard and seen turn downs on alot of cars at the shows. who knows but alot say it does help.

if you want it to sound like a sleeper... dont get flows at all... get somethng more stock... like this ... although i would not recommend this option , even tho its really cheap ($50 and i just did... you should probably get something like flow paths or something like that... search the major mustang parts dealers they should have a wide variety mufflers from stock - highly modified performance mufflers...

If you want sleeper, do with a less restrictive factory style set up (of course with 2 1/2 inch pipes)- it may even be cheaper.

Here's what Flowmaster 40's sound like. 3" in and dumped before the rear end, with longtube headers coming off the 408w.

And I can promise that dumping your exhaust WILL make it louder, both inside and out, and much throatier and agressive sounding.

sounds good. is it loud on idle tho? i was thinking flowmaster 40s or deltas or 44 series with hooker longtube headers and dumped. that should givea nice agressive sound on my 351c. what do you think?
