Default whats the difference, is it just the thickness or what?

ok here is whats happenin, i saw the original disc brake style spindles in a mag and i was wondering why you can't use the disc style spindles with the aftermarket 4 or 6 piston calipers, will someone please explain this one to me

i believe the drum ones are thicker and more mustangs had drums then disc back then. your best bet is the 71-73 spindles they are alot thicker then any other year.
