Default Fog Lamps(update w/pics)

I bought a pair of fog lamps with bulbs that work for $10. I was going to mount them on the grill of my '66 without any fog lamp bars. Im pretty sure i can fabricate a bracket to make it work. Im not sure about the wiring though. Is there any way i can splice them into something without having to buy the $40 fog lamp harness? Im afraid of having too many amps and frying my electrical system. any tips?

any help is appreciated
Luke

You could use a modified version of this... to draw the current straight from the battery. That way it won't tax your existing circuitry.

Yeah, what JamesW said. The stock wiring isnt heavy duty enough to carry the extra load of auxillary lights. IIRC his site also shows how to use relays, to provid the stock(or more power hungry lights) with sufficent voltage, to make them as bright as intended.

yeah were kinda off the beaten path. Its a good little shop though. We have a pretty good selection of new parts as well as a mustang graveyard for used parts.
