Holley Carburetor?
I decided to replace my holley 670 street avenger with an edelbrock 600. I think the 670 was too big for my motor, The carb is less than a year old, but Im not sure if anything is wrong with it, my car didnt run well with it, but when i took it to a mechanic, he said the carb was fine, so i assume that it was just too big for my car. I was just wondering how much you think i should sell it for? Im not sure where to start? or if anyone is interested? i just didnt want to put it up for sale with a rediculous price. thank you for the advice as always.

RE: Holley Carburetor?
i got first bid @ .99
what are they about 350 new? (thats what the 570 street avenger was)...... i'd say 200 bucks would be fair if the carb still looks new and is clean.

RE: Holley Carburetor?
You can easily tune a 670 to work on a smaller engine, the key is knowing how to tune the carb. I run a 650 DP on a 302 and have great throttle response at low RPM ranges, even with a single-plane intake. The biggest draw back would be with an oversized carb with vacuum secondaries...you'd have a hard time finding enough signal to open the secondaries...which would still provide enough air flowfor the engine.
Fixed.

I'd just set it out by the street and somebody will take it.
Carb's in the hands of ignorant/lazy people suck and are a fire hazard.

That's right, Holleys suck. My 570cfm Holley sucks so bad in fact, that it's only making 370+hp from a 302 at less than 6k rpm. yup, sure does suck. I guess I should throw it out.
And if Holleys suck, why did nearly every american manufacturer use Holleys as stock carburetors, or have their carburetors made by Holley?

[align=left]I've got a 570 street avenger I'll trade you. It will be too small for my 347.
