Better Seats for a 68? Suggestions?
I would like to install seats in my 68 that are more comfortable. Made a mistake and replaced the seat foam when I replaced the covers and it is hard, sits too high and too close to the steering wheel. Too bad I trashed the old foam or I would put it back....new is not so good. Anyway I would like to sit lower, further back and instead of sitting on top of a"board", I would like to sit in the seat.

Procar seats http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku
Or you can shove in any seat up from any mustang (minus the II's) to '04. All you have to do is take off the stock frame rails and attach your frame rails to it.

I have procar seats and they sit a fair amount higher than stock ones do. I have the rally seats so they may be worse than the ones listed above. Why don't you take your seats to an upholstery shop and have them redo the foam and use a softer material. That would be a great deal less money than replacing the seats. You should be able to use your existing seat covers.

And recline, good old completely adjustable reclining.
Also if cost is a concern you can get used sn95 seats off craigslist or ebay usually for cheap. Just make sure you use your classic frame rails and remove the existing equipment from the seat or your clearance between the steering wheel will not exist.
