Default My Ride 1973 MACh 1

I just bought a 1973 MACH 1 from Gateway Classic Cars online. I am currently in IRAQ but I can't wait to get it when I get home. Can anyone tell me were I can get original Rims and Door panels redone at?

Nice purchase on a nice car. With respect to the wheels... There were two choices for original style wheels. the 14 inch aluminum slots like you see on my car or 15 inch Magnum 500's. I used the 14s on my car because they are THE original wheels to my car. I also like the 500's though and if I didn't have my original wheels, i'd have used Magnums.

The aluminum wheels are a bit scarce. You can find them every once in a while on ebay or at swap meets. The center caps are now being reproduced but the lug nuts are unique and VERY rare.

The Magnums are available new from about any major parts supplier. they aren't cheap but they sure do look good.

The door panels I used on my car are reproductions. Most of the major suppliers have these also. When ordering, make sure you specify " like the originals".The originals were soft and pliable with padding galore. There are a number of companys making a hard plastic cap that just goes over the old door panels. They look OK but they suck as far as fit and finish.

Good luck putting the finishing touches on what appears to be a very nice car. Dean

looks nice! if you have never owned a car with rear window louvers you will have to get used to them becasue your rear windown is now almost useless!

Here is a pic of the side and the rims that came on it. I don't think these are stock.

nope..they're not. They are American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. Either polished aluminum or chrome. Look to be 15s.

Not a bad wheel actually. I like the look.
