Default carb size help?

wuts the smallest size carb i can put on my 390/4bbl? im just looking for a temporary one till i can afford a nice one

from that i would guess a holley 2 bbl, i think thats the one they used in 67-68 as well

the smallest.......i wouldnt go less than 500-550, and that still might be choking it.

thosse are more money than i want to spend im justing looking for a cheaper one so i can just get by till i can afford a really really nice one

hmmm.. i dunno. Maybe a demon or an autolite. Your best bet is prolly getting one from the junkyard and rebuilding it. Approx $30-$40 for the rebuild.

i found a edelbrock for sale for 100 bucks im waiting for him to get back to me to find the size out but i found a speed demom for sale is it worth 275? http://sacramento.craigslist.org/pts/446512586.html

Them demon carbs are about 500+ brand new. Ive never used one, but it looks as if it wasnt hardly used.
