66 i6 engine problems

Your right , but they come stock with 200 horses without a turbo. If I had a I6 Mustang, I would look into it.

where do we get these people..

make sure you have no vacuum leaks and a good pvc valve......as for a carb I would go with a holly 2bbl easy to rebuild and adjust...those i6 are terrible on intake leaks,exhaust leaks....your float could be set to high as well...have you tried adjusting the air bleeds....the 1 bbl where famous for hard stop quits as we called becall they can't have a sloush tube.....you can get adapter for the 2bbl just find a 350-400 cfm one which shouldn't be to big and gas mileage should inprove a tad
