If you do it yourself it should be dirt cheap. I rebuilt my autolite 2100 and all it cost me was the rebuild it, $17.99, and two cans of carb cleaner, $3 all from autozone. If you have a shop rebuild it, its much more expensive. Try to rebuild it yourself because it is pretty simple. I was a newb at carbs so I just downloaded the instructions and it worked out fine.

All there is to rebuilding a carb is taking it apart, cleaning it (all the tiny passages as well), and putting it back together with new gaskets, etc.

A tip: As you take it apart, match each gasket and fitting to the old one, put the old one in one pile and the new in another. Once it's competely apart, you have all the parts together. There will be extra gaskets in the kit, so don't let that wig you out.

It's very satisfying to do it yourself, all you need is a couple of screwdrivers and a crescent wrench. Good luck!

Very easy and cheap. Buy the kit and some cleaner. Under $30. One afternoon.

Very cheap and easy, as mentioned above. I let my parts soak in Carb cleaner overnight. They looked brand new.

weres the fun in paying someone to do it yourself? all the work thats done is done by me so far. its a C code engine so what ever carbs on the one i got unless its been swapped. The reason im rebuilding this one is that i need a reliable engine before i put together my new one. Still dibating weither or not to put on my new intake and 4 barrel or use the old one and rebuild it.
