Ahh the cubic inch bigger is better theory.
I am still out on that one.
The new modular motors are truly amazing machines.
The power they produce is smooth, Quick, crisp and reliable.
A few thoughts for you Andrew.
1. Have you ever ben up against a street racer Honda or Nissan yet?
Not the lil turd Pepboys Fast and Furious wanna be's. I mean the real Deal!
I ran an guy in a supped up older 240 sx out in teaxas up to 160 be fore I nailed the gas and took off.
I was on my zx-10 Ninja and that lil bastard was faster than a Viper and a 911 turbo I had ran into a hour before.
2. I wasa kid on the tail end of the Muscle car days. So in highschool we had the rods of the time 60's 70's and the 1st of the Injected 5.0's
Ive had friends with a big block 454 71 Chevelle.
A 69 327 Camaro
and several Trans Ams
Only to get beaten by a N/A 5.0 @ the time.
He had a 373 gear and a chip.
The lighter car with the same or more power won every time.
The big block cars were faster on the top end but couldnt handle well enough to keep up.
Last thought then I can give it a rest. A Black ZX3 Focus is out and about here sometimes and that thing is amazing!
Ugly but still, I have seen it run off and leave a 600 rr with ease.
Took me a long time to realize todays engines make more hp per cubic inch or cc's lol
Than ever possible before.
How times have changed for the better with automotive technology.

Sweet! Yea im all about the complete package now a days.
Afr heads on my 347. I would go with those again or Twistflow
Almost done with my 66 and then will start on my wifes 65 fastback.
I have a running strong beefed up 289 to go in but thinking about just building a 408 for it.

To be honest, in a 65 I would go with a 331 or something. The 408 has wicked power, butI don't know how much I would appreciate standard maintinance being a hassle. Then again, I also have a pin on hood so I can get to stuff easier lol
