Default Rear end ?

Decided to check the rearend fluid today and to my surprize when I took out the fill plug a crap ton of oil came flowing out on its own. Shouldn't be that full should it? I am guessing somebody filled it thru the vent line. Should be a 1/4" below the fill plug correct?

Also The tag on the rear says its a WCZ - V1. According to my notes a WCZ-V is a conventional rear but a V1 is not listed. Anyone know if there is any difference between a V and a V1???

Should be about even with the bottom of the drain hole. You're right..someone used the vent tube.

Fill it till it starts to pour out the hole, or in your case, drain it till it stops[8D]
