Default Repainting Interior

O.K. I'm planning to start working on repainting the interior of my car. I can't seem to get the search to work on this board so I'm having trouble finding the answer to my questions. What are the steps to repainting the metal in the car? What's the best way to strip the old paint? Will the regular spray enamel you get from WalMart look good? I want to try to keep the texture int he metal if possible, so I'm thinking a wire brush would be too harsh. Any help would be appreciated.

Search may or may not work. However here is a link to info posted by dan66 last year. I think it might help you.

here is a link to all kinds of sealers and proper color reproduction paint oem colors ......there are 8 pages so you'll have to search through to fu=ind the proper color for your application.......if it's metal on mine I used a light coat of a weak spray on paint stripper...worked great...then used a self etching primer.= .for bare metals then I painted it with oem color and left it at that..if you want to use a clear sealer then you can but I didn't

if the door panel is not all rusty then just use a scotchbrite pad also works on the rest of the textured metal trim
