RE: I need stuff for a 73 Mach 1
Hey pushrod, I'm impressed. I haven't ever seen that done to a 73 but it looks as if it were built that way. Chroming the fender extensions to match the hood trim and bumper would be a nice touch.
As for Colorado... the age of 15 came and went 30 years ago. Am I senile ? Not hardly. Am I a teenager ? Nope.
I'm just a guy who has no further desire to be drug down by yourfoolishness.
That will be all.

I'm still waiting to see proof of the Mach 1's with a factory installed flat hood.

Also in 1972 and 1973 ram air was only availabe on 351C 2V engines.

I never really cared for the chromed fender and hood extensions. Right now it's in the shop getting painted either Speedway Blue or Elektra blue ( I'm leaning towards Speedway). When it's done, hopefully by early next year, I'll post up some pics.

In '71, the NASA hood was a no-cost option on Mach I's with the base engine (302). Right from Ford's sales literature.
NACA developed the scoop used on the hood, but was replaced by NASA by the time the Mustang was created, hence the confusion and interchangability between the two acronyms.

The NACA hood was standard on all Mach 1's in 1971. In 1972 it was standard on all Mach 1's with a 351 engine, on 302's it was an option. In 1973 it was a no cost option on all Mach 1's so you could get a 1973 Mach 1 with or without the NACA hood.
