RE: cocky ricer
to beat a stock sti or evo you need to be able to run a 13 flat or better. I had an evo that had intake and exhaust and ran 13.10. The sti will run a mid 13. When i added methanol and cams with tune i ran 12.27 so that you give you an idea.

Funny this came up. My friends boyfriend has a wrx and claims 500 hp.
Mouthy lil turd. lol I like the guy.
Its just like the bike crowd I run with my bike is a zx10 r ninja, Its very very fast, but if you cant drive it doesnt matter anyway.
I have an idea my Supercharged 347 stroker and road race set up will be a lil bit of a challenge for him.
BTW drifting! Thats the way I learned to drive down dirt roads in a 69 Torrino 427 CJ! When did that become a sport?

RE: cocky ricer
just tell him before you race you want to have a burn out competition, bet he will back down! !
they are powerfull but not tough, they break especially when doing burn outs....
down side of having a 350 hp car+ awd + 100 hp power train= broken parts
biggenst problem is awd + lighter weigh,
only way to compensate is more power
if he is pushing 350 hp(easily done) and has awd
you would need to be pushing 450-500 hp on slicks
2004 sti is rated @ 300hp@6000 rpm, 300ft torque@4000rpm
Center: DCCD (Driver Controlled Center Differential) front/rear power split, 6 levels or auto mode, with indicator light
Front: "SureTrac" Limited-slip front axle
Rear: Mechanical Limited-slip rear axle
curb weight 3,263lbs
mustang curb weight shows a whopping 2,810 lbs, (dont quote me on this number)

Actually, it is the Scoobies that are notorious for the glass trannies... they are actually known for it...
It doesn't matter what car it is... whomever has the most money wins, end of story.
For the record, he may be right about the fast part. The classic bodylines aren't worth a damn over 140MPH and you'd be lucky to keep it on the ground at that speed.... The Scoobie would be stable to 140+.... and with AWD, you can bet he will win the traction war from a dead stop...
Either way, to each their own. I have a classic for my weekend car and a ricer for my daily. They are both extremely fun and I'd hate to get rid of either one...
