Default RE: power steering

My '67 Coupe came with manual drum brakes and manual steering. I found a guy who sells "correct for that year" steering and brakes. No "Granada brake"swap for me. I also found aftermarket steering and brakes that would be an improvement over the factory equipment.

Iconsidered www.steeroids.com for a steering upgrade and www.stainlesssteelbrakes.comfor a brake upgrade.

In the end, price played a role, so I went with www.chockostang.com for my parts. He sold me all original equipment, except for the brake booster (if you use an original booster, you'll have to replace the brake pedal also). I replaced both steering and brakes for $1900.

I'd probably wait a bit as there is a new integral power steering box coming out soon, rack in pinion is great but fitment with different eng combos is always a problem.

well my car is doing the same thing idles really nice but when you put the pressure from the trans rolling on it its not as strong and if you stomp on it it starts to like bubble sound and then if you to push that clutch donw then it shuts off and take a couple mins to get it rollin again. Kinda a (cawicidense)<- spell check that this started after i hack the muffler off my single pipe 67 289cid

The SSBC brakes are a easy swap, fit good. I bought a original rebuilt psfor my coupe. I am going rack and pinion on myfb. You have to have adual sumpoil pan like on a 5.0.I think there is an issue with the oil pump pickup on 289's.
