Convert to 5-lug
I have a 67 Coupe, 6 cyl, and 3 speed tranny. Eventually i would like to convert it to a V-8 but for now i would just like to convert the 4-lug to 5 lug all around. Is there any issues with doing this and what all would i need to be able to do this?

www.discbrakeswap.com for the brakes, $525 and you get everything for conversion to 5 lug up front and disc brakes. For the rear, look for an 8" on craigslist or eBay or locally for $150-$200. It costs about $170-$190 to redo the rear brakes (keeping drum) with everything new including wheel cylinders and drums from AutoZone.
That should be just about it, ~$1,000 and you're done. Then when you get ready to do the swap, get the suspension parts from any of the Mustang parts places.

RE: Convert to 5-lug
I am not sure how to go about changing to five lugs without exchanging parts. The route I took was a complete rebuild of the suspension starting at the steering components themselves. I assume that the the spindles would need to be changed like on my 66 to upgraded V-8 spindles since you are wanting a V8 later on anyway there is no reason to do everything twice. The spindles are an easy purchase off ebay for a good price. Now in changing to five lug in the front I ordered a disk brake kit from summit that solved the switch from 4 to 5 lugs. The kit was WIL-140-4304B. I say use disk because you are gonna want the stopping power when youget an 8 IMO. I am not entirely sure how the kit works with a linkage system because I replaced mine with a R&P from flaming river.
The rear of the car had a tiny rearend so I ended up purchasing a ford 9" that was already 5 lug so the rear was just a big purchase.
It was definitely an expensive process but, if I did it again I would do it the same way.

I am swapping my 65 to disc brakes in front in about a week. I will sell you all the parts off my car if you are interested. New front brake lines, new pads, and one new wheel cylinder.

I have been told that you can in fact change the 4 lug axles out to a 5 lug axles and keep the same 7.5 rear end,But would not gain any more durability if ever converted to a built V/8 as I have done,
