Default ron francis electric fan sensor install

I am finishing up a Ron Francis installation on my 66 and have a question on installing the electric fan sensor - they recommend installing this in the head --does anyone have a pic of their installation or any idea of where I would screw this into the head???? The guy said that if I put this in the intake manifold it would result in the fan coming on about 20 degrees below where it should......... I did send another email requesting a picture and will upload if he sends (tech support for Ron Francis has been pretty good, they usually get within 24 hours).

Thanks

The electric fans i have installed used an adjustable thermo switch in the radiator...

If the system you have is adjustable - mounting location be more flexable...

Question:

Does anyone have a SBF with provisions for a heat sender in the head?

My Edelbrock heads do not have this provision.

That one got me too.
I put my sensor in the thermostat housing. It was an after-market piece that had a plug in it.
So far no issues.

+1 thermo housing or radiator
the primitive ones even have a probe that just jams in the top rad hose.

JMD i have never seen anyone fit a thermo fan sensor into a head (or a head with that provision), but have heard of temp senders done that way but its custom and expensive for questionable gain IMO

Does the probe go in one of the the radiator coolant lines (with the wire then coming out of the end and to the electrics)?
