so i was looking for 9inch rears and i found this, he said i can pick it up right now

not a bad price assuming it does not need a rebuild, but it is 6" to wide. A 64.5-66 Mustang housing is 52.25" flang to flang. Also does not say wht type of mountings are on the housing. Sounds like a truck housing which could be set up for leaf springs or coils.

Not to hijack the post, but I just found a similar deal online- would this bolt up to a 68 coupe without any modifications?

Ford Mustang 9 in Rear End complete drum to drum 53 1/2 backing plate to plate posi 350 gears. Price $350.

now that one will fit. the 67-68 housings are 1" wider than the first generation and you should be good to go. Thread hijacker!!! [8D]

ok the housing has some extra mounts on them and no springs pads. its ok, im gona get the extra ones cut off, the housing narrowed and spring pads put on for 300. the gears are 3.00:1 and in good shape. pretty good deal, all n all looks like im in 600$ and its ready to go in!
