RE: Very cool find..
Heres one that I framed. They need to be kept out of the sun. I have found three so far but they have been out of 67's and 68's. I think that maybe their was one under the floor carpet it the rear left but most of these are dust now. I'm getting ready to get into a very original 65 over the next day or so and will be on the lookout.

RE: Very cool find..
Great find. I found this in the back of my '68 fastback a few years ago while replacing the carpet. I'd given up hope of ever finding a build sheet, but this was close enough... It says "TRIM DEPARTMENT" in the upper left corner, so it's not really a build sheet, per se, but it was quite a surprise because I'd thought the car had already told me all of her old secrets.
It was folded up and had already gotten wet a million times over, so I lightly sprayed it with water until I could gently unfold it.

Blast. I was anxious to find mine when I took the interior apart but it wasnt there. All I found was a few cents, cigarette butts, and some Taco bell sauce packets. And a bobby pin... A chick drove it before me.
Totally not as exciting as a build sheet.

Yeah I stripped my car to a bare shell and all I found was 89 cents, a couple of old match books with the striker on the front, aluminum pull tabs, and an unsigned, uncashed check for $87 from 1980 drawn on a bank in Houston! Someone certainly missed that!
I'm pretty sure the carpet in my car had been replaced back in the early 80's and if there was a build sheet it was probably under the old carpet.
My car is from San Jose and I believe they put the build sheet under the carpet.
btw, in Mustang monthly last month there was a blurb about "restoring" a build sheet. They soaked it in laquer thinner or benzene or something.
