Default 300ci Inline 6

Will a 300ci IL6 drop right into a 65 coupe?? There are an overabundance of them around here, and I cannot find any 200s in the area. Checked ebay, craigslist, etc.

Thanks.

A 300 will fit in a 65. You will have some clearance problems with the hood. got to www.forsix.com/forums register and talk with them

Check falcon sites that is a big mod to do with the early falcons. Those guys hang a paxton on there and they are fast!

Too bad you don't live in Houston, I've got a good running 200 with C-4 for sale for $250.

I would definitely not put a 300 in there. I don't think it's as easy as you think. Yes, the block will physically fit in the bay, but that's about it. You will have hood clearance problems, and the intake is a seperate peice from the head (unlike the 170-200-250) and protrudes off the side. I'm not 100% sure, but it could hit the shock tower.

I would say keep checking junkyards - I can get about twenty 200ci/c4's within a few miles of me.

A 250 will bolt up directly in place of a 200, but it is slightly taller, which will interfere with the hood. Still, that is more fixable by doing things such as a drop air cleaner.

Both the 250 and the 300 use the small block V8 bolt pattern so you'll also need a bell housingif you want to use your C4. They both need a flexplate that isspecific to them also. BTW, 69/70 250's came from the factory with 5 lug wheels and an 8" rear, too.
