I think you really should look at your original question and rethink how you say things here. After all we all drive mustangs and old ones at that and to do that you have to have an evil sense of humor. LOL

well, you might not need to change it, that is just the bearing race, and if its in good shape then you can probably re-use it
its not like its a high speed or a high load bearing

Sometimes the race is loose in the adjusting nut and will turn. If so, you can often "unscrew" it out.
If not, don't try to pry it out with a screwdriver. You will put a burr on the lip that the race seats against and the race will not fit down flush in the nut, causing the bearing load to be off.
Take the nut and slam it down on the flat anvil part of a bench vise. Be careful not to pich your fingers or hit it on the edge of the threads and damage them. You can usually do this several times until you get the race to come out far enough that you can get a punch behind it and tap it out from the back. Occasionally I will get one that just won't budge, then I just replace it with a spare, which I have plenty of. If you just can't get it out, or damage it in the process, let me know and I will send you one.
Always replace the race if you are installing new bearing cones.

Haha i win - This is proof you can use your welder for anything i just threw a washer inside the race and placed several small tack welds around it. i flipped it over and tapped that son of a bitch out By the way i didnt damage the seat where the race sits either apparently i wasnt rough enough with it.
