i've got two 6x9s in mine that the PO put in. he really tore up the deck when ge did it, though. i found some stuff that is like a soft foam covered in a fabric that matches the color of my interior, cut a piece of 1/8" plywood, wrapped it in the foam, and installed it. the sound comes through unobstructed and it is impossible to tell by looking that there are any speakers in it at all. i was pretty impressed with myself at least. now if only i could get her to run.....

I got a package tray from Mustangs Unlimited with holes for the 6x9's cut already. I was able to fit a pair Rockford Fostgate 6x9's back there and they look great (black and chrome).

I bought the package tray from NPD that came with 6x9's. It works great, but I think that it makes the speakers stick up too much. I'm gonna set down in the deck sometime.

Boxes on the rear deck would look bad IMHO. You should be able to mount some 6x9's back there easily enough.
