Wheels for my 72 Mustang
Hey guys. I have a great deal on either the Magnum 500s or the American racing Torque IIs. Here is the link to look at the wheels I am looking at besides the 15" Magnum 500's. My car link is in mycamera icon to the leftif you want to get a birds eye view. What do you guys think is the best looking wheels for this car.

RE: Wheels for my 72 Mustang
just my opinion. Everyone goes with the wheels you have posted there. The generic, run of the mill mustang rims. Not only is that sort of lame to have the same style rims as everyone else (IMO the whole point of rims is to stand out), but I dont think they would look as good on a 72. I would try to go for something original and unique...

RE: Wheels for my 72 Mustang
All joking aside....one thing the internet breeds is the appearance that "alot of people" have certain things.
I go to local car shows occasionally in MD/PA/DE areas and while I do see cars with TTiis on them...they are usually only a couple; certainly not an abundance. Frequenting internet forums it appears that more people have them as a % of internet users which is sometimes confusing since that % doesn't nessecatily translate into the local/regional area where you actually see cars in person as apposed to online. I think both the magnum and the TTii are great wheels and they have been proven to work which is sometimes one of the most important factors in making a wheel and tire choice since $1000-1200 +++ is a good chunk of change for some people and finding out something is a poor fit after the fact is never fun.

RE: Wheels for my 72 Mustang
The thing is that I can get either set of wheels for less then $600 a set with centers and lug nuts until the 28th of February. I have seen the other wheels and nothing even comes close for looks and price and I do not want chrome modern wheels because that looks wierd on a 71-73. Craig makes several sets of wheels I like too but they are also much more. I will look real hard and decide this week. Thanks

RE: Wheels for my 72 Mustang
go to this site and put your car in ( the 71-73 is convertable only on here) you can even change the color, tint and ride height. play around with it and you might find something you like better.

http://www.vintagewheelworks.com/products/wheels http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCa...heel_parts.htm could go nuts and get the magnum 500 in something like a 17.

RE: Wheels for my 72 Mustang
IMHO the Magnum 500 is a classic look for the '71-'73's. Another good looking wheel is the FR500, I've seen it on a '71 however I can't find the pic.
