Carburetor spacer

Carburetor spacer
I bought a Edelbrock intake 7121 with the dual plane. My old setup stock intake had 4 holes like my carb spacer. So my question is this will my 4 hole spacer work ok with the dual plane intake? If I pull the spacer off were will the PCV go, it was connected to the spacer in the rear? Thanks

RE: Carburetor spacer
Yes, you should still be able to use your spacer. If you pull your spacer off, you should be able to use the large vacuum port on the rear of your carb (assuming you are running an aftermarket carb), otherwise just run your pcv to a vacuum source on your intake manifold.
Hope this answers your questions.

RE: Carburetor spacer
I've seen some setups where the PCV goes into the airfilter (from bottom, inside the filter ring).
If you add a carb spacer make sure you have clearance on top (close the hood carefully to see if all is ok)

The pcv hose that goes to the air filter, is just a fancy breather (the air filter housing helps contain any oil that gets past the breather's filter material). The pcv valve side (what it appears Krobillard is talking about) goes to engine vacuum. Generally the breather is on one valve cover, and the pcv valve is on the other.
EDIT: +100 for Kalli's comment on checking hood clearance after an intake swap!!!

No, yousholdn't run the factory spacer on the Edelbrock manifold. There are notes somewhere on their site about vacuum leak problems with this setup. You can get spacers with threaded holes in them to install a pcv hose fitting.
