Reinforced Shock Tower and UCA pics
Here are some pics of my 1968 fastback. My Granny always called this car "Nelly Belle". I have owned it since I was 15 and hope to get it all back together again someday.
I dropped the UCA 1.5 inches, cut and realined the upper control arm the boxed it for strength. I also reinfored the weak shock towers with 1/8 plate.

Yes it is Lug nuts. They give more thead depth than just a nut does.
I did machine them down flat, as it was a conical seat lug nuts.
As for the pics they was upload to photobucket and hot linked to them...

Paint isn't even on my mind right now. I just trying to get the body readyand mocking every thing up first. Then everything will be removed before body work and paint begins. Plan on painting it my self. Never painted much my self, except with rattle cans. But I am confident I can do a good job. If not I sand it out and do it again until im happy. I does have a few friends that are experienced painters
and Im shure there input will be a great help.
