If you have good speakers, crank 'em up!
These are Flows 40's, 3" longtubes into 3" pipes all the way back to the dumped mufflers.
If you like loud, I don't think you could go wrong with the cherry bombs either, so long as thats your style. If one sounded way better than the other, everyone would have it, but it seems to be pretty evenly split amongst those of us that love disturbing the peace...

well, they're completely different. Some people like the old school glasspack sound, others the tin-like crappy sound of flowmasters. as you can tell I like glasspacks better I just think you hear too much of the metal with flowmasters, and I just don't like that part of the sound.

Well i use flowmasters on my 302... i really like the fact that they are quieter at low RPM because my car is my daily driver but sometimes i wish i had the growl of the cherry bombs.. and as more the metal sound i know alot of people who like it but cherry bombs sound like you are going to whip some a**... just depends if you always want that huge sound or not...

Dont Cherries take away from power? Being as they dont give much backpressure?
Dont Cherries take away from power? Being as they dont give much backpressure?
in a nutshell,
the idea is to have as little of backpressure as possible and still have exhaust velocity.
in other words. only use as large of an exhaust pipe as you need for your engine.
too big of a diameter and the exhaust gas cools down before it comes out and the engine has to work harder to get the gas out.
too little and the backpressure does the same thing.
do a search for more details

Personally I like how loud the Cherry Bombs are, but I love the deep throaty sound of my Flows.

Neither. I hate the high pitch squell of glasspacks when you get on it and flowmasters are a little tame.
I recommend welding in a set of chambered mufflers.
