Default 68 mustang update!!!pics

hey guys i havent worked on the car lately but i finally brought my motor to my house from a friends shop its a 289,rpm cam,rpm air gap intake, hooker headrs,650 cfm edelbrock carb, edelbrock valve cavers, edelbrock fuel pump, & a T-5 tranny(b&m short shifter, shelby drop amd all new suspension with a 1" sway bar pretty stock no major suspension upgrades.

you guys think the most challenging part of this installation will be the t-5?

So what u guys think about my progress so far,
u think i will feel a HUGE difference from just having a stock 289,C4 tranny?

looks awesome. except one thing is wrong...

the gold washers are backwards. if you look at the stock ones, it tells you what side goes toward the rubber.

if its a brand new engine dont worry about what type of filter it is. at my work we buy the cheap carquest ones in bulk cause we use like 2-3 on the dyno when breaking in the engines.

you should only drive on that filter for like 200 miles then cut it open to see if theres any metal in it.

u mean cut the oil filter in half, its a good idea but u really think it will have small pieces of metal?

If it was me I would just give that oil pan a rattle can of black....you can't really see it but it will peak at you when your looking at the front of the car and if your like me it will bother you eventually.

no they have special oil filter cutters.

its kida like a pipe cutter. tighten the ****, spin the cutter around a few times, tighten some more, spin some more, and on and on till the top pops off. then dump the oil into a clean tuppaware container and look for any metal. any engine shop will have one. you could always take it there and ask them.

Looking good man,All good things take time and patience.
Nice call on the polished intake and water pump.
Instead of rushing things together with cheap parts because of budget reason's stop and think about if it would be worth the wait rather then trying to replace it later when the car is finished.
