Default ANOTHER 67' wheel quastion

I know, I know... another wheel question. I really want to run these wheels but im not sure if they will work or what I need to do to make them work. They are listed as 2005+ mustang wheels:

set of (4) American Racing Shelby CS66 wheels with a Chrome Finish. The bolt pattern is 5x4.5. The Wheels are 18 x 8.5 with a +35 offset and a 6.25 backspacing. If they fit I want to buy them, but I want to make sure before spending the money, thanks.

Look for the 69 GTS thread. That might help you some.

To use those wheel you will need a bolt on adapter to adjust the backspacing. I believe you would want 5 inch BS on an 18x8.5 wheel

adapter bolt onto the hubs with lugs and then the wheel bolts to the adapter. Safer than a spacer that's for sure

Thanks again Nick. Will this weaken the axle? Also, How far out of the wheelwells can I expect my wheels to be? A little is OK, but I dont want too much.

I have no experience so I can't really provide input on if this causes weakening of the axles...my opinion is that if it did, it would prob be marginal but I have no tech one way or the other, I also know that regardless I've never been a fan and prefer to buy wheels that fit the car because there is a visual difference in wheels with correct backspacing and wheels with adapters. Adding the adapters won't make the rim stick out past the wheel well. With the backspacing listed the rim will be hitting the leaf springs/wheel housing in the rear and shock tower covers in the front. The adapters will space it out so that they don't.
