Arrow Who has 17s on their 69-70?

I've seen that you can fit 17x9.5 rims with 275/40 tires on the rear from various sources. Anybody here running that or close to it?

I would love 17s or 18s if they made them in a Mag500 style. Not sure why they don't.

Urban,

Have you seen these? I thought of them when I read your post. They kind of, but not precisely, have the Mag 500 vibe. I am pretty sure they are modeled after the Ford, 2004-ish Mach 1 wheels. (Ebay has them in 18 and 20)

The reason I ask is; there are more tire sizes in 17 than 16, especially width wise.

Moonweasle, yes those are magnum 500's but a new syle for the new edge mach 1's like you said. I think they are nifty, I remember seeing them on a classic but don't know where to find a pic

edit: nvm based on iskwezm those rims aren't magnum 500's, but similar! I'm wrong. That pic of that 69 looks sweet with those wheels.

I did...but apparently no one here so far has piped up with their personal experience. There was also a link to a magazine article, but it warns somewhat against 275s and 9.5s...
I'm still hoping for positive responses.
