Default engine flooded or .....

ok so i started my car 2 nights ago and drove it down to the bank and back

now its been sitting in my garage doing nothing just on a trickle charge with the battery charger (which was a dumb idea in the first place yes)

i went to start it this morning and the thing had plenty of juice but did not crank at all and the end result was the entire garage smelling like gas

what should i do to start car just charge the battery back up and keep turning the key to get the gas out?

maybe its even my starter.... although it does smell badly like gas so im assuming flooded

What worked for me a few times was to jam the gas pedal all the way to the floor and start it.

The old flooded carb. These days everyone has forgotten how to handle one. Let it sit for a few minutes, hold the pedal to the floor (do not pump it), and crank the engine. If it is in good working order, it will crank for a few seconds and then start right up.

Coil could be gone. Mine went dead and the engine would crank and crank, but you could tell it wasn't trying to start.

ba could be right. it might be the coil. the other day the wire fell off the positive side while i was driving. the car just died. wouldnt even crank. luckily i had enough momentum to get the the store where i was goin and coasted right into a parking spot so i popped the hood and saw a dangly wire.

Agreed, Kalli...I could see not firing maybe, but the coil has nothing to do with whether the car starter will crank the motor.

Check your oil level and quality. Make sure it wasn't really flooded and the gas seeped past the rings and into the crankcase.
