I think the spring that helps open the glove box door broke. I think.

This is the small spring that fits behind the latch mechanism on the door its self and is held in place by roll pin. This roll pin also hold the latch hook to the latch mechanism. The piece of the spring that touched the latch hook broke off and now the glove box door doesn't open up nice anymore.

Do you guys know if I can get just this spring or do I have to buy the whole 20.00 latch mechanism from NPD?

Check with Mustang Mania in Katy, Texas....they have a bone yard and are always good for minor parts like that without having to buy a whole new whatever part you are trying to fix.

I checked with them because I wanted the plugs that attach the turn signal harness to the under dash harness but I didn't want to replace the entire under dash harness right now.

They had the plugs and sold them to me for $15 which sounded much better then what places what for the under dash harness.

Best to call them and tell them what you are looking for.

Might not be worth it for a $20 part but it sure is worth it at other times.
