Default Extra Part???????

Well I feel like a total idiot, I took apart the motor back in October and I am finally putting the last pieces together and sure enough I have an extra part left over.

The car is a 66 coupe with a 200 six in it, the car has power steering set-up and I kinda think the bracket is from that. The only place that I can see to attach this bracket is from a bolt on the bottom of the power steering bracket and then to the top bolt on the motor mount. When I took the car apart the top motor mount bolt was broken off in the block so if it should be attached there then it wasn't when I took it apart, maybe that's why I'm so confused.

The bracket is about 12 3/4" long and about 5/8" in diameter and has fresh coat of paint on it just waiting for its home.

Any input on where this bracket goes?

Thanks,

I would have to agree on the accessory mount. I haven't seen anything like that anywhere else, and my car is pretty disassembled.

No A/C on the car,

It just seems odd to me that is would be bolted using the same bolt as the motor mount.

The bracket has to go where I originally suspected. I bolted it to the extra bolt in the power steering bracket and it lines up perfectly with the top bolt of the motor mount. I guess it must have just been hanging there from the power steering bracket since the motor mount bolt was broken off in the block.

It looks right to me so if no one else has any input I am just bolting it right there.

Where it bolts to the power steering bracket

Where it lines up with the motor mount bolt, I still need to bolt in down.

I'll tell you this much - that's one good looking engine block you got sitting in there! Nice paint job!!! By the way, I have a '66 Coupe with A/C. My original engine, etc I am not using and is torn apart. I have the same piece on my shelf. I belive it was for the AC as well.
