Default whinning noise when i start it up?

It has been like this for the longest time now. Right after you start it up, and for about 5 to 30 minutes when you are on the gas at all there is a high pitched "nehneneneneh" sound coming from the engine bay.

At first I thought it was the belt, as it was getting worn. So I replaced it and it didn't fix the noise. Then later on I had to replace the Water Pump and thought it could maybe have been from that, but nope. Does any one have any idea's on what it could be?

Do you have power steering?

Can someone give it gas while you look? I would think it is the belt slipping..

No power steering.

I think the belt is tight, that was one of the first things I thought. Doesn't seem to be slipping.

Dugan, IIRC you live in MI? Where are you? I'll come over and check things out with you one day if you want?

two possible items. you might have glazed your pulleys from the last belt and need to clean them with a wire brush to get the old rubber off. clean you pulleys and re-tighten your belt. Could it be a bad alternator bearing?

It may be organic.

Are yours, or any of your neighbor's cats missing?

Miniature ponies?
