has anyone swapped an 03 cobra motor into their classic? if so lets see some pics!

I talked to my mechanic about doing this someday down the road but doing a Mach 1 motor since it has an aluminum block. I will say he's doing a 67 convertible right now with a 03 cobra motor and a 6 speed from a GT500 Mustang. They did have to modify the transmission tunnel (increasing the height). I'm sure the GT500 casing is bigger but this might be one issue depending on the stance of the car.

You can get the motor to fit with the stock shock towers except for the area around the alternator. It definitely isn't an easy swap, that's for sure. I have an AJE Racing front suspension for the car, so that is why the towers are notched back as far as they are. I am having to raise the trans tunnel some to fit the T56, that is actually where I'm at on things right now.
You can use the stock computer/harness, but it takes some time to work through things. I'm personally doing a harness from The Detail Zone. It costs about 2-300 more than the stock harnesses would, but you don't have the time involved in making/gutting the stock harness and running it correctly on the car. With this harness you can run/hide the wires as much as you would like. I'm getting rid of the emissions/egr stuff on the motor, and ran most of my engine wires the other day and there are 54 wires going in to the engine compartment. That isn't including wiring for the fuel pump, OBD2 connector, or any of the sensors for gauges.
