Another T5 tread
Hi guys,
I have a 68 Mustang coupe with a straight six and a c4 tranny. I have a shop that is going to do the T5 swap, but I still have a few questions on the parts needed. I've read up extensively, but am still looking for a few answers.
Parts I have:
Mustang Steve Cable kit
1967 T-5 Conversion Kit for 6 CYL w/9" Clutch Kit G Non-Syncro. For use with original bellhousing. Fits with Bellhousing casting #C6OA-6394-A. We recommend using the Ford Factory world class T-5 Transmission #M-7003-7 from '79 to '93. Kit includes: Spacer Adapter Plate, Crossmember Bar Assembly, Trans Mount Insulator & Drive Shaft Slip Yoke.
T5
Pedal
Stick
Bellhousing
Clutch fork
I got a bellhousing (C7ZA-6394-A) and what I thought was the correct spacer for it, but the holes for the bolts don't line up. I've attached picks. Can someone tell me what spacer I need?
I need a flywheel, but am having one hell of a time finding one that was behind a 200. Will a flywheel from a 289 or a 302 work? Does anyone have an extra flywheel that they would like to sell me?
I need a throwout bearing and a clutch set up. I was planning on going to some place like napa and buying these. I'm basically clueless, so any recommendations will help.
Am I missing any parts?
Thanks
